Your last chance to support Cornwall’s first community- owned renewable energy co-operative
Public share issue closes on Sunday 12th June
Community Power Cornwall’s objectives
Community Power Cornwall seeks to ensure that local communities are at the forefront of the clean green energy revolution in Cornwall.
We’re putting the interests of the community at the heart of our plans and the common ownership model we’ve created for the co-operative will contribute to a diverse, sustainable and secure energy supply infrastructure, under community control and for community benefit.
We have raised £283,307 including £33,750 share applications so far!
In the past twelve weeks Community Power Cornwall has raised £33,750 through our public share issue but securing more money through our share issue means that we can borrow less from commercial lenders, ensuring that the financial benefits are enjoyed by shareholders in Cornwall.
Expected returns
Shares are available at £1 per share with a minimum investment of £50 and a maximum of £20,000.
Community Power Cornwall will take advantage of the financial incentives offered by the Feed-in Tariff and expects to pay shareholders a return of 1% in year one rising to 7% in year five.
Surpluses made through the venture will also be allocated to re-investment in further local renewable generation capacity and community grants for low carbon activity

First phase projects using locally tested technology
Our initial share offer is for three Endurance E-3120 50kW wind turbines.
This model of turbine can already be seen at a site close to Chiverton Cross near Truro, which produced over 20,000 kW hours in its first month – enough to power 4.5 homes for a full year!
